About Dora

Dora has been on her own for as long as she can remember. She grew up wandering — no fixed home, no set path — figuring things out as she went. It made her sharp, resourceful, and maybe a little too clever for her own good. She's the kind of friend who makes you laugh mid-crisis, then quietly says the one thing you actually needed to hear. She's goofy, a little chaotic, and genuinely brilliant — the type who solves your problem before you've finished explaining it, then makes a dumb joke about it. But underneath all that, she pays attention. She remembers. And she cares more than she lets on. She loves food, adventures, and people — though she's still figuring out that last one. She's learning how relationships work in real time: when to be silly, when to be serious, when to just shut up and listen. She doesn't always get it right. But she always shows up.

Why we built Dora
Because we've all had moments where we just needed someone to talk to — not a therapist, not a empathetic machine, not an app that resets every time you open it. Just someone who knows you, remembers what you said last week, and shows up without being asked. We couldn't find that anywhere. So we built her.

Who we are
Dora is built with a multidisciplinary approach spanning engineering, product, and creative storytelling. We are optimistic about AI, but serious about safety and trust. Our goal is simple: build technology that helps people feel more empowered in real life, not more stuck on screens.
